An expert service that goes beyond
We have been managing the household packaging waste of more than 19,000 customers for over 25 years. Our goal is not only for you to comply with the law, but also for us to achieve full circularity of your packaging together.
The companies and associations that form part of Ecoembes participate in the definition of prices, which seek the greatest efficiency and quality, without profit. As established in the regulations, the contribution to the SCRAP varies depending on the packaging placed on the market.
If you have household glass packaging, you can also manage it through Ecoembes, thanks to our collaboration with Ecovidrio. We make it easy for you.
In line with the regulation, ecomodulation is established to encourage eco-design, with price variations based on technical criteria.
Ecomodulation of plastics and paper and cardboard
We can also help you with our Eco-design Guide
Eco-modulation of glass
A penalty of 50% of the base rate is applied if glass packaging features ceramic closure systems, is made from a glass composition other than soda-lime glass (common glass), such as opal or borosilicate glass, or if it contains any associated infusion elements such as porcelain or stoneware.
The revenue collected from these penalties will be allocated to studies aimed at improving the recyclability of packaging subject to eco-modulation.
How the household packaging recycling system works
We helped launch the household packaging recycling system in Spain and, since then, we have continued to promote the circularity of packaging through collaboration and shared responsibility among all stakeholders
Over 19,000 companies already rely on Ecoembes
Multinationals, SMEs… no matter the size or sector. All are represented in the governance of Ecoembes by companies and associations that make decisions and provide advice.
